Since we have had such a busy summer, and have devoted almost all our time to sewing kilts and getting our hire packages ready, we have decided to change our blog page to a news page.
During August, we visited the Keith Country Show in my home town. It’s always great to get the boys closer to some animals – quite a different upbringing in Glasgow. Our youngest is confused between sheep and horses, so definitely time to visit more farming areas. We also met a woman who spins her own wool, and then knits kilt socks with the wool. She can match the tones of any tartan to her wool, so a great new contact to have for our fully bespoke adult kilt packages.
We had a great time at Scotland’s Exclusive Wedding Event at Hampden in August. It was great to meet so many friendly brides and grooms, not to mention some great other businesses. We sat across from Debbie from Handmade Horseshoe Gifts and enjoyed chatting to her about the challenges and excitement of running your own business. We also enjoyed chats with the women from The Best Scottish Weddings magazine – a very popular stand, and watching brides try out the photobooth from Rhoddy Stewart photography.
